Synapse Studios in Mill Avenue District To Offer Free Custom Website to Winning Business

Tempe, AZ – With the launch of the Mill Avenue Retail Competition in Mid-May, a Downtown Tempe-based web development and design firm, Synapse Studios, has offered their services free of charge to the winning business.  This new prize is part of an already enticing grand prize package that includes 12 months of free rent for a space on Mill Avenue.

Synapse Studios has been a active member of the Mill Avenue District community since moving here in 2008.  Founder Chris Cardinals states, "Since starting Synapse Studios, we've been really excited to establish relationships with the other businesses in the community. Moving to Mill Avenue this year sparked a fire for us in that regard. A company's web presence is more and more important these days and we feel that offering a web package to a company getting off the ground only serves to sweeten the deal and help them succeed."

Synapse Studios will be providing the following to the winning business of the Mill Avenue Retail Competition:

  • Custom design of a website built on a popular content management system.
  • Custom logo design.
  • Training on how to use and update the site.
  • Training on how to make use of Twitter and Facebook.
  • Free hosting for one year.

The Mill Avenue District Retail Competition has spurred interest of independent retailers to Downtown Tempe, as well as ignited the growth of business development.  Entrepreneurs can submit a full business plan, which will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of representatives from DTC, DMB & Associates, the City of Tempe, a local bank, and local retailers.  The deadline for submissions is June 26, 2009.  More information, including the Rules & Regulations can be found at downtowntempe.com/retailcontest.  The selection committee will review all entries and announce the winner on July 10, 2009.

Originally founded in 2003 by Chris Cardinal and Bob Eagan, their primary focus has been delivering custom web-based software solutions for medium- to large-sized businesses. They also work with smaller companies to develop their web presence. They're located at 520 S. Mill, Suite 202 or online at www.synapsestudios.com.
