Full-Time Sr. and Jr. PHP Developers

(Be sure to take a look at where you'll be working if you land the gig.)

We need developers who can step in and help guide the growth we're expecting in the near-term. We're looking for someone that knows how to write clean and efficient PHP5 object oriented code. Here is a list of skills we are looking for:

  • PHP 5 - object oriented experience
  • SQL knowledge
  • Extensive JavaScript and CSS knowledge
  • Current knowledge on the latest HTML, CSS and JavaScript standards as well as how they interact across multiple browsers and versions
  • Regular expressions (at least able to understand them even if they give you horrible, horrible nightmares)
  • Using APIs

The following skills earn you extra points (or are additional skills you should have if you're applying to be a senior developer):

  • Git or other version control systems
  • MVC experience (via frameworks such as Kohana, CodeIgniter, Zend, Cake, or Symfony, for example)
  • LAMP stack administration skills
  • AJAX by way of jQuery, YUI or any other popular libraries
  • Knowledge of design patterns
  • Experience with JS or CSS frameworks (backbone.js, Sass, Compass)
  • Worker processes (AMQP, RabbitMQ, Gearman)
  • Experience with other languages (C, Perl, Java, Python, Ruby)
  • Writing APIs

We need someone on-site in Tempe, Arizona, but we're open to helping people relocate. (We also may consider remote developers on a case-by-case basis)

We're a younger group of motivated web developers and our company is growing rapidly. We keep things fun and interesting, have great office space in the downtown district, and do our best to give back to our community.

Send ALL of the following to jobs at synapsestudios dot com: Resume, code samples (or a link to your Github account preferably), and include the job title you are applying for in the subject line
